5/5 stars.   The book Don’t Call Me Ishmael by Michael Gerald Bauer is a very good book about a teenager who has diagnosed himself with a disorder about his name. Ishmael. His parents gave him the name from the famous story ‘Moby Dick’. He is now stuck with it and disaster is the primary symptom for his disorder.

Ishmael must overcome his ‘disorder’ and learn to achieve his gaols in a mixed up adventure with a group of school society outcasts.

Michael Gerald Bauer has written the story amazingly with excellent detail into a teenagers life and what matters with a lot of laughs along the way.
